The City of Fort Collins will begin maintenance work on the Lemay Avenue Poudre River Bridge between Riverside Avenue and East Mulberry Street on Monday, August 26. Construction will last approximately four to five weeks, into mid-September, as crews remove old joint material, install new joint material, replace concrete, and overlay new asphalt on the bridge driving surface.
The bridge will remain open to traffic over the duration of construction, although lane restrictions will be in place. Vehicular traffic will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction; bicycles will need to merge with vehicular traffic. Pedestrians will have access to the Lemay Avenue Poudre River Bridge at all times. The Poudre Trail will remain open to cyclists.
Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
