The City of Loveland has indicated that lane closures beginning Wed., June 5 on 29th Street on both sides of Taft Avenue are likely to cause some traffic delays.
The closures will result from construction of Xcel Energy’s major gas pipeline installation project.
Traffic will be funneled onto fewer lanes along 29th Street a few blocks both east and west of the intersection at Taft Avenue. The lane closures are expected to remain in place for about two weeks.
Xcel’s project involves installing more than 7 miles of replacement gas line primarily adjacent to Wilson Avenue all through Loveland. Work will also include pipeline along 29th Street between Wilson and Taft.
