Mary Jo, a "Letter to the Editor" writer, gave us all a heads up when she wrote to the Coloradoan that she had a rattlesnake encounter on the patio of their home. She lives on "Chase Drive directly behind all the new construction happening on Ziegler betwen Drake and Horsetooth Roads." She was unsure what to do, or who to call. Have you ever encountered a slivering serpent of this nature? What did you do and who did you call? Or, did you just handle it yourself? Or, did you just scream your lungs out? Perhaps scaring the bah-jiggers out of the snake? Often times that's all it takes. Afterall, what creature wants to hear human screaming?
