MAX Starts Service on Saturday

After years of planning, construction and months of testing, MAX, Fort Collins' new Bus Rapid Transit system is set to start service on Saturday. The MAX bus marks the start of some great improvements to the city's public transit system. Even the graphic design nerd I am noticed the new Transfort logo and new streamlined bus stop signs.

New bus routes that will tie into the new MAX system will start on Monday, May 19. One of the cool new features that Transfort is rolling out includes integration with Google Maps.

Let's say for instance you want to meet some friends in for lunch Old Town after seeing a matinee at the Cinemark Theater. All you would have to do is type in origin and destination, click on the bus icon, and you will get directions on how to get there from Google Maps.

(Note: The maps are not working right now since the bus routes aren't active.)

Get the App

Another improvement to the Transfort System is the new Ride Transfort app. Currently, the app is only available for iOS, but the Android app is coming soon.

For the first time, Transfort riders have real time bus information at their fingertips.  Save your favorite bus stop on the app for quick bus arrival information, plus get real time bus location information.

Click the button below to download the App now from the Apple App Store
